Why The Planting Zone exists
Most gardening advice is written for somewhere else. The Planting Zone was created for gardeners who need information that matches their USDA zone, state, heat, humidity, soil, pest pressure, and growing season.
We started in Florida Zone 9b because Florida gardening is almost backwards compared to much of the country. Our best growing season often runs from fall through spring, while summer becomes the hard season.
Every guide is designed to be clear, practical, and specific. No filler. No generic advice. Just growing information built around the conditions gardeners actually face.
